It might seem odd to devise current curriculum in higher education based on human evolution -- after all, weren't we just axe-wielding cave persons? Instead, I have come to believe, after a long deep dive into human evolution studies, that instead humans evolved within a culture where language use, artistic skills, music, cooperation, grandmother assistance in child-rearing, and non-kin empathy were the norm. With this new vision of ancient humans -- starting a couple of million years ago -- yes, it makes sense to re-imagine learning to utilize these inherited traits.
